Product Description
Sniper Photochromic Sunglasses
The First SwissEye Sunglasses with Photochromic Lenses.
These Lenses Change from Light to Dark Depending on the Amount of Exposure to Ultraviolet Light. Photochromic Lenses are Embedded with Millions of Molecules Such as Silver Chloride or Silver Halide. The Molecules are Transparent to Visible Light in the Absence of UV Light, Which Gives a Normal Appearance for Artificial Lighting. However, When Exposed to UV Rays, as in Direct Sunlight, the Molecules Undergo a Chemical Process that Causes them to Change Shape. The New Molecular Structure Absorbs Portions of the Visible Light, Causing the Lenses to Darken. The Number of Molecules that Change Shape varies with the Intensity of the UV Rays.
N.B. As Lenses React to UV Light, There are Circumstances when the Darkening will not Occur. A Typical Example of this is in your Car, Because the Windscreen may Block out Most UV Light.
